Another phase of tests of DDF is finished! During three days, we stayed at one of the centers that collaborate with Fraunhofer and we could count on the participation of the elderly that attend this center. DDF is a dance game that was already known by the seniors who have participated in the testing phase before, so they were very excited to participate again, this time as experts. After explaining in detail the operation of the application and after making a short demo, we called to the dance floor two elderly people at a time to play and compete amongst each other. The atmosphere was of great animation and good mood!
We left the game in the center for a week and in the end we held a Focus Group and all the seniors gave their opinion about the game, problems and suggestions. The opinion was unanimously positive and most elderly advised that we should put more songs and choreographies!
Besides its fun and recreational aspects, the DDF has a very important component: the promotion of physical activity and evaluation of the risk of falling. This concept was well understood by the elderly, who waited in expectation for the fall risk score provided by the application at the end of each dance.
