Today, at Fraunhofer AICOS, we welcomed Mrs. and Mr. Sequeira to participate in a demo of SmartFeet for the national TV channel SIC! They demonstrated the application, played the games and were interviewed about their experience of using the interactive games. We can say for sure that with SmartFeet, the fun is guaranteed!

Professor Anabela Martins of ESTeSC – Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde de Coimbra -, a physiotherapist who has a large experience in the field of falls in the third age, was interviewed as well and gave important insights on how these exercises match seniors’ needs and are beneficial for them.

Back in 2012, Fraunhofer AICOS produced a promotional video for CareBox – A TV-Based Homecare System, a prototype of remote health monitoring and assistance system developed at Fraunhofer AICOS within the projects eCALLYX and CAALYX-MV.

This prototype allows users to take advantage of the features integrated on the TV: health agenda, medication intake, scheduling, alerts, vital sign monitoring, videoconference with doctors, medical questionnaires and health videos.

The project COLABORAR, a network of older adults that collaborates with the Human-Computer Interaction team of Fraunhofer AICOS by participating in questionnaires, interviews and in trying out the solutions was featured on the website of Notícias Ao Minuto.

GoLivePhone is a user-friendly smartphone that derives from Fraunhofer AICOS’s SmartCompanion and results from the work of scientists and developers of AICOS and the Dutch company GoCiety.

GoLivePhone has many features: medication reminder, activity monitoring, fall detection, location and remote configuration of the smartphone, among others.

COLABORAR is happy and proud to see seniors of different countries using the applications that were tested by the Portuguese seniors of COLABORAR!
